Sustainable Architecture

Harmony with the Environment

At Purachata Ecolodge, the architecture doesn’t compete with the rainforest; it blends seamlessly into it. Every beam and every roof tells a story of respect for nature and community collaboration.

Local Materials

Buildings constructed with local wood, corrugated metal sheets, and woven leaves, following ancestral techniques of the region.

Community

Built by the communities of Ex Petroleros and San Lucas. Their local wisdom was vital in creating authentic and safe spaces.

Climate Adaptation

Structures elevated on stilts to coexist with the river’s natural cycles and ensure constant ventilation.

Exclusive Design

Double-height cabins and rooms designed to maximize privacy and visual connection with the lagoon.

Purposeful Construction

We prioritize construction that respects the Amazonian environment. The lodge is not an external element, but an extension of the landscape.

We would like to express our special gratitude to the communities of Ex Petroleros and San Lucas. Their experience and deep knowledge of the land have been the foundation upon which Pura Chata is built.

Spaces for Relaxation

We have three individual, double-height cabins arranged around the lagoon to offer absolute silence and privacy.

In addition, our common areas, yoga spaces, and pool are designed to complement the experience: places where the only sounds are the wind and birds.
